Since 2013, Near West Recreation has not only offered traditional sport leagues, but has offered a variety of other programs for youth to participate in.  These extra programs vary year to year and are dependent on budget, staff time, and partners. • Bowling Family Nights at Dickey Lanes
• Girls Grow & Girl's Night (girls empowerment programs)
• Creative writing workshops with Lake Erie Ink
• Lego League with Near West Intergenerational School
• Youth Boxing with Old Angle Boxing
• Lacrosse summer camp with North Coast Chapter of US Lacrosse
• Rowing Camp with the Rowing Foundation and See You at the Top
• Summer basketball camp with Olmstead Falls coach.
• Playground Crawls with Near West Family Network
• Spring Jam, spring break camp with Ohio City Incorporated and CMHA
• 3v3 Basketball Tournaments
• P.E. Sessions (small group activities during Covid-19)
• Sports specific clinics and trainings
• Virtual activities with Urban Community School

Locations: Majority of all programs and activities will take place on the Near West Side. Some travel may be required for special events.

Equipment:  Varies.  Most equipment needs are provided by Near West Recreation.

Cost: Varies. Need-based financial assistance is available.
